Background: Madelynne Cornish is an audiovisual artist and curator. She documents the effects of climate on natural and constructed environments, and the social dynamics informing remote communities. Her multi-layered artworks are reflections of how humans engage with, and shape their environment. In addition to her practice Madelynne is the co- founder and director of operations for the Bogong Centre for Sound Culture [B-CSC], an independent arts initiative that facilitates a broad cultural program comprising, artist residencies, exhibitions, publications and masterclasses. The B-CSC's upcoming event is the winter masterclass The Art of Field Recording. This five day intensive masterclass will be led by Douglas Quin [US] and Philip Samartzis [AU].
