5 degree Ranetas VR Fest
<< The Municipal Exhibition Hall of Alcañiz (Spain) will once again host this exhibition of art and experiences in RV and RA from November 15th to December 1st, which brings Las Ranetas association for the fifth consecutive year, being this one of the most veteran festivals of this kind in Europe. >> 16 experiences and shorts in virtual reality, 108 works in augmented reality and more than 40 works of art using virtual reality software, artificial intelligence or video creations are the works of renowned artists and studios of more than 30 different nationalities that will be available to the public for free at the 5th VR FEST RANETAS, which will take place in the Municipal Exhibition Hall of Alcañiz (Spain) from November 15th to December 1st.

Among the works presented this year, it is worth highlighting the increase in works in augmented reality, being able to see cutting-edge art in augmented reality such as that of the Berlin-based artist Miguelangelo Rosario, the synesthetic works from Southeast California by HollidayHorton (artist - animator for Sony with more than 12 AAA titles), the succulent catalog of Babiera's state opera animated by ScorpionDagger (James Kerr) ...
As for the art in virtual reality among others we will have works by Daniel Martin Peixe (Walt Disney animator in films like Frozen), from the Netherlands to the lover of surrealism and RV ReinBijlsma, MezBreeze (with award-winning works in World Bank collections or The National Library of Australia) or the works that are housed in Danny Bittman's Poly (Wisconsin) is a creative who is building 140 virtual reality worlds in 140 (working) days with Tilt Brush, GravitySketch and AnimVr.
These works will be joined by those created live during the festival by various artists using Tilt Brush.
Regarding the experiences and shorts in virtual reality we can see works of various kinds such as the fantastic Red Matter work of Vertical Robot that takes us to a dystopian cold war on a moon of Saturn, "Lightning: A VR Story", a film by Jeremy Casper created completely in virtual reality using Oculus Medium and Tvori, Notes onblindness: IntoDarkness, an immersive virtual reality project based on the sensory and psychological experience of the blindness of John Hull, Stormland that will move us to an alien sky that houses a lush exotic life and a scattered android civilization ...
This year we will also have two novelties, works created by artificial intelligence such as that presented by Kishi Yuma from Japan, a coding artist who inspired by the Obake and a video creations section, with interesting works such as those of the Chilean Xaviera Lopez, the Barcelonian Edu Torres, Los Angeles resident Anthony Samaniego, Argentinian Esteban Diacono or the sublime science fiction web series CULTURESPORT: ROTTERDAM 1995.
The contest will select, from among the participants, three winners who will receive prizes for the categories "Best experience or short film in RV", "Best artistic work in RV" and "Best artistic work in RA, mixed or AI", which this year will be will delivered in the form of the CREA cryptocurrency, a cryptocurrency designed to empower the culture and digital production sector. https://creary.net/popular.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Monday closed). Admission will be free.
