Alicia King > Our Long Conversation with the Sun
Alicia King investigates our relationship with technology and nature. King's work questions the utopian language often used to describe technological progress and its positioning as superior to and separate from nature. King's practice also examines the ethical and environmental implications of our increasing reliance on technology.

Alicia King works with new and experimental media to raise questions about the use of technology to manipulate nature and its increasing impact on biological systems, including the human body. This exhibition will include materials not seen before in our galleries, including tissue cultures, electromagnetic materials and fluorescent gasses. King is interested in the promotion of technological supremacy that places us continually on the brink of the 'future'.
