Applications are now being accepted for the Country Arts Support Program, an annual small grants program administered by Regional Arts NSW on behalf of Create NSW.
The Country Arts Support Program (CASP) is a Create NSW initiative that supports a creative, vibrant and resilient NSW arts and cultural sector that engages with diverse audiences and communities. The fund supports locally initiated projects by not-for-profits, local government authorities and collectives in regional NSW, and is delivered in partnership with the 14 Regional Arts Development Organisations (RADOs) of the Regional Arts NSW network.

Funding for the 2018 round is available for projects occurring between 1 January and 31 December 2018. Eligible activities include workshops, exhibitions, performances, artist-in-residence programs, and public art and design projects. The 2017 CASP round saw support for 80 short-term Country Arts Projects, sharing in more than $245,000.

"The diversity of CASP projects speaks to a strong creative culture within regional NSW," CEO of Regional Arts NSW, Elizabeth Rogers said.

"Projects are assessed locally by our network 14 RADOs, which ensures that these small projects are locally determined, and serve the cultural needs of their region. After a highly successful 2017 round, I"m looking forward to seeing the innovative proposals for 2018, and how they contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of regional NSW."

Applicants are encouraged to discuss their proposed CASP projects with their local Regional Arts Development Organisation (RADO) prior to submission, which can be found by searching their local council on the Regional Arts NSW website. Regional applicants from non-contributing Local Government Areas are able to contact Regional Arts NSW directly prior to their submission.

Applications for the Country Arts Support Program (CASP) close on Thursday 27 July 2017, 5pm AEST. For more information about the program, including guidelines and instructions, visit: www.regionalartsnsw.com.au/grants/casp
