The international smash hit slips into Melbourne for its premiere season

After sell-out seasons in Edinburgh, London, Berlin, Brisbane and Adelaide Fringe (2015), SOAP is set to make a splash in its Melbourne debut at MICF 2017 with its spectacular fusion of contemporary circus, comedy and cabaret - set in, on and around bathtubs.

Direct from Germany, SOAP presents some of the world"s finest acrobats in a dazzling range of water-soaked routines and brilliant displays of physicality, performed to an eclectic soundtrack including Sia, Goldfrapp, Tool, Ben Harper, The Beatles and live musical performances.

The performance delivers 70 minutes of genuine showmanship with seemingly effortless grace. From moments of divine beauty - a captivating gymnastic display on a bath ledge - to a humorous love story between two feet, SOAP has captivated the hearts of over 1.5 million people the world over. It"s steamy, funny and absolutely jaw-dropping but also entirely family friendly.

In January 2017, SOAP celebrates its tenth anniversary having premiered at Berlin"s Chamaeleon Theatre on January 27, 2007.

With German/ Canadian puppet artist Nicole Ratjen to performance artists Adem Endris from Ethiopia and Russian Liudmila Nikolaeva, as well as American performers Daniel Stern and aerial acrobat Lena Ries, the company is as diverse as the audiences it has enthralled. Some of those artists have been with the company since inception, many for several years and joining them on tour for the first time is Swiss performer Mario Español, who attended Berlin"s prestigious Acrobatic State School.
