Starring Jamie Lee Curtis who plays the hitchhiking heiress Hitch' and Stacey Keach who plays the truck driver Patrick Quid Road Games is a true cat and mouse story set on the lonely Nullarbor road. Directed by Australia's own Richard Franklin, the pair soon discover that they're possibly sharing the road with a serial killer who's murdering hitchhikers. It's from there the games begin.
One of Tarantino's favourite Australian films and in a class of its own, Road Games has an unmistakable Australian flavour, right down to the Mad Max-esque Brian May score. For a time the most expensive film ever produced in Australia, it still stands up to repeated viewing, due in large part to the honesty of the performances, the simplicity of the idea and Franklin's tight hand at the helm.
Accompanied by WA short film Dark Horses.
