Melbourne Shakespeare Company, Soothplayers and The Rooftop Bar have teamed up to throw Shakespeare a Birthday party the Bard himself would have been proud of.
On the 26th April from 6-8pm, Melbourne Shakespeare Company and improvised Shakespeare group Soothplayers will host an evening of shakespeare themed interactive art instillations, films, roving entertainers, photo booths and more to celebrate the work of this incredible man.
This is also an opportunity to meet the Director, Cast and Producer of Melbourne Shakespeare Company who just finished a sell out season of A Midsummer Night's Dream in March and the cast of Soothplayers whose show is currently playing at the Comedy Festival.
Given 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, Melbourne Shakespeare's Artistic Director Jennifer Sarah Dean decided this was the perfect time to acknowledge his birthday and all he has done.
"Shakespeare is everywhere and we hope to create a fun event where like minded people can socialise while appreciating the way the Bard has impacted most of us today", she said.
Entry is completely free, with drinks at bar prices. Interested people are encouraged to join the Facebook event to keep up to date with everything party related.
