Bowerbird, Adelaide’s leading design event returns to the Adelaide Showgrounds from 26 – 28 November and is excited to put the focus on South Australia! Some of the state’s leading independent designers will be brought together all under the one roof. Across the three days enjoy the best of SA’s creatives, along with artisan food and craft beverages.

With the festive season not far away Bowerbird is the perfect day out with friends and family to discover new products from some familiar and emerging SA brands. With 150 makers on site Bowerbird will be a hub of creativity with exceptional brands across accessories, skincare, stationery, clothing, art, homewares, jewellery, kids’ toys and pantry treats.

Director of Bowerbird Peggy Byrne is thrilled the November event will put the focus on local South Australian designers; “Designers and makers from all corners of South Australia will be making the trip to Adelaide Showgrounds to showcase their beautiful products this November. We have makers from the Riverland, Eyre Peninsula, Barossa, Fleurieu, it will truly be an amazing representation of this state’s creative talent.”

Bowerbird supports a strong community of SA designers and is looking forward to welcoming back some local favourites including Petal and Blume’s beautiful fabric canvasses from the Adelaide Hills, Barossa based Bright Threads’ luxurious table linens, Claire Ishino’s art and stationery, local natural body care brand Truth Cosmetics, Glass by Emma Klau, Anja Jagsch’s beautiful jewellery designs and Dog Boy Knives’ unique recycled handcrafted handles and blades …just to name a few.

There are some extraordinarily talented new emerging designers at the next event including Bloomingwell’s gentle skincare and aromatherapy products and Loéme, a South Australian artisan cosmeceutical skincare brand using Australian grown oils and native extracts. Enjoy tactile and functional Ceramics by Viv for your home, Art by Alexia from the Clare Valley, Fresh Ginger Creative will have their intaglio dry point prints, journals and ceramic vessels on display and appealing to your senses is Ethical Style Australia creating beautiful scents for the home. Accessorise with handmade and timeless jewellery pieces by Ash Flynn and slow fashion brand METANoIA creates stylish leather bags from upcycled leather jackets.

Further afield, Bowerbird is excited to welcome some interstate favourites, beautiful children’s sleepwear and bedlinen brand Pixie Linen from Queensland and using sustainably farmed local Tasmanian wood, Pili Pala produces stunning original homewares that will be on display, along with jewellery and leather accessories. Antipodes Gin, Australia’s first certified organic distillery in the ACT, will have their gin to sample and purchase and all the way from Newcastle NSW Pudding Lane’s delicious puddings will be available to purchase, date and toffee and macadamia and brandy are just a few tasty options just in time for Christmas!

Pre purchase tickets online to secure entry time slot, this guarantees you can enter at that specified time and stay as long as you like. If purchasing tickets at the door (cash only) you may not gain entry if capacity is reached. Tickets can be pre-purchased via the Bowerbird website from 29 October.
Covid Guidelines: masks are essential, social distancing rules apply and COVID safe check-in is mandatory to gain entry. People are asked to please stay home if feeling unwell.
