As Australia's only national Still Life Painting Award, the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award is celebrating its twelfth consecutive year with a non-acquisitive first prize of $20,000.

Entries are now officially open for the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award (EMSLA), Australia's only national Still Life Painting Award, now based in the beautiful City of Wollongong.
EMSLA is celebrating its twelfth consecutive year in 2018, featuring a non-acquisitive first prize of $20,000. The event's patron, Dr Mal Eutick, has announced that this year, EMSLA will coincide with Wollongong's popular cultural festival, Viva La Gong.
"Twelve years on, the EMSLA continues to be a significant platform for an increasing number of under-represented artists from all over Australia to show their remarkable still works," Dr Eutick said.
"After re-locating to the City of Wollongong last year at Project Contemporary Artspace, we're elated to coincide with the fabulous Viva La Gong festival in November 2018. We would like to thank Wollongong City Council and our other local stakeholders and supporters for giving still life artists a chance to express their creative talents."
Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM has welcomed the EMSLA to its new home in Wollongong.
"I'm very pleased that EMSLA is returning to Wollongong in 2018, coinciding with our City's celebratory, signature festival, Viva La Gong and I'm sure EMSLA will continue to add to the vibrant and diverse cultural scene we enjoy here in Wollongong," he said.
EMSLA opening night is Friday the 9th of November, 2018, at Project Contemporary Artspace, 255 Keira Street, Wollongong.
Entries are invited from Australian artists, over the aged of 18, for any original still life work.
Entries close 28th of September 2018.
