College Row School Students Celebrate AWESOME Arts Creative Challenge Residency
Last November, multidisciplinary Perth-based artists Maxxi May and Daley Rangi travelled down to Bunbury on the lands of the Warandai Noongar people to our recent Creative Challenge residency with College Row School.
Maxxi and Daley embarked on this year's theme of Tell Me More with the whole school, where many unexpected and joyful encounters with the students' creative interests were explored through sensory ways of making art. Some students explored their affinity for string and textured art supplies, while others took to building cup houses in a small diorama of the local area.
The wide variety of artworks created were displayed in an exhibition that shared the individual voices of those participating. The whole school celebrated the variety of colourful, expressive outcomes in an assembly on the final Friday. AWESOME Arts' College Row School residency was proudly supported by Healthway with the Go For 2&5 Message.
