Inspired by a new book called Craftfulness "“ Mend yourself by making things, five Sydney makers will explore how their process contributes to their sense of personal wellbeing. Each will share stories of their motivations, creative processes and how the act of making positively impacts their life.
In an open and honest discussion, hosted by Sydney Craft Week Ambassador Karen McCartney, the panel of five makers "“ from disciplines across textiles, ceramics, paper engineering, jewellery and graphic design "“ will bring an object to illustrate their craft and describe what it means to them. A key event as part of our Mindful Making theme, this is an opportunity hear the fascinating personal narratives of these makers "“ it might even inspire you to start making yourself.
Come and listen to extreme knitter Jacqui Fink, artist and product designer Evi O, ceramicist Alana Wilson, paper engineer Benja Harney; and jeweller Kyoko Hashimoto in conversation with author Karen McCartney. This event is part of Craft Up Late at ADC.
