The volunteer run Australian Dance Education Standards Association (ADESA) has launched their Dance School Owners Pledge today to help raise awareness for Child Safety within the dance industry in Australia. The four page pledge covers both basic and more detailed areas to be considered when providing dance tuition and performance opportunities for children in Australia. The comprehensive document developed by the volunteers who comprises of dance teachers, parents, studio owners, performers and a psychologist helps to guide dance schools into operating with Child Safety at the forefront of their practice.

This is both a timely and worthwhile document to consider for any dance schools wishing to uphold a solid standard of practice within an unregulated industry.

ADESA has provided the pledge free of charge and hope to be able to contribute to the many positive steps currently occurring within the dance industry.
