Alice Fraser's singular take on the world is "as smart as it is delightful" (Herald Sun).
Raised Buddhist by a lapsed Catholic and a recovered Jew in a crumbling house owned by her Holocaust survivor grandmother, Alice Fraser in The Resistance chronicles the world of her childhood through the lives and eccentricities of the people living in the falling down house she called home: the manic-depressive Chilean gardener, the Christian Hungarian woman who should have been her grandmother's mortal enemy but somehow wasn't, and the veiled Indian woman downstairs.
In 2015 and 2016 Alice sold out seasons and earned astronomical critical acclaim at Melbourne International, Sydney and Canberra Comedy Festivals; as well as glowing reviews from some of the hardest critics in the business during her debut Edinburgh Fringe Festival season.
★★★★★ "stand-up like you've never seen it before" - Broadway Baby (UK)
★★★★★ "a towering achievement, one of the festival's very best" - MICF Funny Tonne
★★★★★ "a total star"¦ her weird, messy, joyful, tear-jerking comedy deserves some unadulterated infamy all to itself. See this show." - Herald Sun
"hilarious, brutal and heartbreaking" - The Scotsman (UK)
"razor sharp and intriguing" - TimeOut
Now, Alice Fraser brings you her equally acclaimed new show full of silly funny songs, silly funny jokes"¦ lightly peppered with a devastating human truth or two.
