Peta is a passionate creator and teacher in Mixed Media Arts. She resides in Daisy Hill and keeps herself extremely busy running both local and online workshops, studying at uni, art journaling and painting continuously for events and private commissions. Luckily, we've caught her just as she is putting the final touches on two years worth of work, and invited her for a solo show at Miami Marketta.
Her collection explores themes from her home environment, using items sourced from around her house and street to create an earthy textural experience in some pieces, while other thought provoking pieces use elements from our everyday lives with a little whimsy thrown in!
Every painting has a story, with interplay between the colours around Peta's studio and the emotions that they evoke as she paints. As a whole, this collection reflects on her personal feelings about the world and the fundamental stages of life.
Come along to Studio 56 during Tapas Club and see her works on canvas, sculptures, handcrafted lampshades and more, along with some creations from her workshop students and some complimenting decor from Beach Dreamer Designs.
