Published by: Deathproof PR | 22-Jun-2018
With local legend Emily Ulman at the helm as Music Programmer, Brunswick Music Festival 2019 is set to once again shake things up "“ continuing to reflect, embrace and challenge this diverse community and place. Brunswick Music Festival is one of Melbourne's longest running inner city music festivals and in 2019 celebrates 31 years. Over three decades the festival has reflected the changing face of Brunswick "“ continually showcasing the best local talent, presenting high calibre international artists and embracing a movable feast of musical genres and events.
Embedded in the festival ethos, the organisers are seeking to collaborate with local producers, both established and emerging, and a range of local venues, businesses and community organisations to deliver a program that is edgy, politically-aware, diverse, engaging, inclusive, sustainable and representative of all things Brunswick.

The organisers envision a festival firmly grounded in the local that also speaks to currents trends and issues in the contemporary music landscape.

If you have an idea for an event that could fit within the 2019 Brunswick Music Festival program, they want to hear from you!

They are looking to co-produce events with you that:

Are presented within the 3056 postcode

Respond to the festival themes

Engage with the festival's priority audience groups (women, ATSI communities, people with disability, migrant and refugee communities, and GLBITQ communities)

Respond to current issues or trends in the contemporary music landscape

Engage with either local audiences or bring a new audience to the festival

Please think outside the box!

Events could include "“ but are not limited to "“ live music and performance, happenings, exhibitions, activations, workshops, talks, industry development or any other crackpot notion or scheme you've been cooking up.

Open to different models of partnership, they are keen to hear from you as to what you need from them to make your event happen. This could include cold hard cash, production and technical support, or assistance with audience development.

Be explicit about your needs and they will tailor a partnership to suit.

All events programmed in the 2019 Brunswick Music Festival will benefit from the festival marketing campaign.

Please note this EOI is not a performer call out.

The organisers are specifically seeking curated event proposals, which feature multiple artists, speakers or activities.
