Rural turned suburban alt-folk stompers The Northern Folk have been taking Australia by storm of late, with their unique genre mash-up of brass-heavy, big sound anthems and intricate blues ballads. The eleven-piece collective of multi-talented musos are excited to reveal their latest installment "Get On" set to be released Thursday 12 October, as well as announce a three-week residency at Melbourne"s Gasometer Hotel including a single launch, along with a run of national festival and tour dates commencing at the beginning of October.

The brand new single "Get On" showcases The Northern Folk"s extensive musical prowess, with catchy pop undertones that cleverly and intently make for a nuanced blend of soaring highs and intimate lows. Following on from the release of their impressive 2016 LP Stumble On Home which debuted at #27 on the Australian iTunes charts, "Get On" carries with it the same charismatic charm that has come to identify The Northern Folk"s sound with multi-layered harmonies, driving percussion and horns galore.
