This free dance workshop is an opportunity for young men and boys to experience dance, to explore their potential interest in dance (even if unknown beforehand) and to interact with professional dance artists and other workshop participants.
The workshops will be led by professional Dance Artists Holly Durrant and Kyall Shanks in a fun and inspiring dance-theatre experience for all-comers. No experience is necessary.
For those participants who wish to further their individual experience after the workshops, they can audition to become part of the Young Ensemble as a part of the professional cast (from the UK and Australia), creating a company of approximately 30 young men and boys for the production of Lord of the Flies presented by Arts Centre Melbourne at the State Theatre in April 2017.
'I've always thought that dance was what girls do, and it's all really feminine, but as soon as LOTF came up it changed my mind"¦ it can be masculine as well' UK LOTF workshop participant.
Date: November 5, 2016 10am -12noon,
Cost FREE
