Australian Independent College of the Arts, Collarts, is thrilled to announce the latest addition to their tertiary courses with the new The Bachelor of Arts (Interior Design) and Diploma of Arts (Interior Design) degrees in collaboration with The Mercer School of Interior Design.
After opening a new campus in early 2018, Collarts has continued to expand its range of diplomas and degrees across multiple streams including Music, Entertainment, Creative Content, and Design, with the Interior Design Course at their new Wellington Street campus increasing the rapidly evolving disciplines on offer.
Ideal for students wanting to work in the Interior Design industry in areas of spatial design, creative management, communication and business, the Bachelor of Arts Interior Design at Collarts equips students with comprehensive design industry knowledge and hands-on workplace experience so that they are career-ready upon completion.
Successful applicants will be taught and mentored by industry experts from The Mercer School of Interior of Design (a division of Australian College of the Arts) who are currently working within major brands, design studios and architectural firms. Students will undertake fundamental units such as: the history of design, creative theory, material exploration, entrepreneurship and digital integration and will graduate with a well-rounded understanding of the interior design industry, both in Australia and internationally.
Collarts are also excited to announce that Bruno Duval has been appointed as the Head of Interior Design. With over 15 years combined experience in design and design education, Bruno held a variety of positions in leading architectural and design firms where he predominantly focused on the application of design thinking, service design, experience design, sustainability and technology within built environments.
Over the last five years, he specialised in leadership, strategy, learning technologies, and project management whilst delivering quality education programs in both purely online and blended environments. Committed to seeking unique and innovative solutions geared towards high user-centered quality outcomes, he is excited about joining Collarts at the Head of Interior Design.
"I'm really excited by the opportunity to create and deliver an industry-aligned and future-focused program where students will gain real-world experience working in and around the interior design industry," Bruno shared.
Collarts offers students a variety of real-life industry experiences so that they are career-ready when they graduate.
