Well loved and respected for his ink wash, watercolour and etchings as well, Barry Kidd presents a collection of oil paintings full of colour and whimsy. Barry paints what he knows and loves, and this connection is evident in his work.
Cheryl Nugent has chosen a technical interpretation of the exhibition theme. Cheryl's unwavering approach in allowing her reactions to what she is painting lead to her visual expression of it, has resulted in her style being immediately recognised for the joy and love of Australian themes she depicts.
Tricia Reust has chosen to let pastel, charcoal and ink flow with water and take her wherever they lead for this group of works. Another award-winning professional member of AIR, Tricia is dedicated to developing her own art and teaching her love of it to others.
Who does not marvel at the exquisite mastery of the art of Fran Robinson? Fran's love of embroidery, her drawing skill in drafting each design and her technical ability with fibre and colour, has earned her the recognition in Australia and overseas which it merits.
Art followers in Redcliffe hold John A Robinson in high esteem. Of his works in the Council Collection, his painting depicting people attending the Redcliffe markets is most loved. John works hard at enabling art and community to meet, being active in many art groups and in representative roles.
