Chris has a very unique style that lets the viewer become captured into the landscape in a very calm and tranquil way. Please join the artist on opening night as we welcome him into the wonderful world of art.
'In Daylight and Distance' is an investigation into the effect of light at various times of day and its interplay on the environment. This is depicted through oil on canvas, where the sunlight is the feature, and the subject is just the medium to carry it.
Chris is an emerging artist from Mundoolun, south of Brisbane. He is a father to three special-needs boys, who managed to keep him from painting for the last 15 years, but now feature regularly in his paintings.
Chris's artworks will be available to view in 2017 from 7 January until 3 February at ArtWorld Studio Gallery, in Brisbane's Norman Park. His opening night will be held on Saturday, 14 January from 6pm to 8pm. All artworks will be available to purchase at the Gallery in person, and through our ArtWorld online store at www.artworld-studio.com.
