Melbourne label Tremorverse Records reveals 'Open The Door' from Diamonds of Neptune, lifted from upcoming compilation Two
Independent record label Tremorverse Records is proud to reveal the second drop from the upcoming compilation album Two, due for release later this year. 'Open The Door', is courtesy of the musical stylings of Melbourne five-piece band Diamonds of Neptune, and is due for release Friday 2 August.
With a unique take on the indie-rock genre, Diamonds Of Neptune take you on a journey from a dream-like state, blending sounds of psychedelic-pop with heavy synth and heavenly guitar tones. 'Open The Door' explores the sentiment of releasing the week's stresses and heading out the door for the weekend. Following on from the album's first superb offering 'Stationary', a collaboration from jazz piece Birdsnake featuring POOKIE, FL-Smiley and N'fa Jones, Diamonds of Neptune's 'Out The Door' is among great company.
Since 2012, Diamonds of Neptune have been carving their place in the Melbourne music scene supporting the likes Northeast Party House, The Bennies, Stonefield, The Belligerents just to name a few. Following the release of the band's self-titled debut EP in 2015, which included singles 'Pipedreams' and 'Cyclical Nightmare', the band packed out their own mini-residency at Melbourne's iconic Evelyn Hotel and a launch show at The Workers Club in 2016. Needing a well-earned break to create and write, the band took some time out to do just that. Fast forward to 2019, Diamonds of Neptune have reemerged from the studio, eager and energized with the latest offering 'Open The Door'.
"Open The Door' is about heading out on the weekend to let go and forget about any troubles you had during the week" - Diamonds of Neptune
With initial input from students, alumni, friends and connections of Box Hill Institute, Tremorverse Records brings freshness and vitality to the Melbourne music scene, fostering releases from both emerging and established artists. Tremorverse works with the music students, graphic designers, fashion students, and music business students of the college to bring a multidisciplinary and ground-up approach to the record label's independence.
