Melbourne WebFest regular submissions close on 15 March
Australia's international web series festival, Melbourne WebFest is currently taking submissions for their fourth edition to be held on 1-3 July 2016. Melbourne WebFest is working to acknowledge digital screen producers and is creating a hub for networking and professional development in the heart of Melbourne.

Supported by the City of Melbourne, La Trobe University, ABC iview and Federation Square, the festival will see industry workshops, panels and networking events take place in addition to screenings over three days. Creators will have have an opportunity to be screened at the prestigious Deakin Edge at Federation Square, and be nominated in a number of award categories.
In 2015, Melbourne WebFest acknowledged web series and creators, cast and crews with an Official Selection of 51 series and a total of 16 awards. The Gala Awards Night, hosted by comedy trio Aunty Donna saw talent from all over the globe showcased and recognised. Notable wins from 2015 included The Katering Show (AUS) for Best Comedy and The Impossibilities (USA) for Best Screenwriting. The 2nd Annual iview Award was awarded to Dayne's World (AUS), presenting the creators with an acquisition deal with ABC's iview platform. Finally, Féminin/Féminin (CAN) took home the Grand Jury Award, which granted the series all expenses paid trips and automatic entry into partner festivals in Los Angeles and Marseille, in addition to automatic entry into Rome WebFest, K WebFest (Seoul), WebFest Montreal and Rio WebFest.
