POTPOURRI of Tutors' art to launch the reopening of Old Fire Station Gallery
The Gallery has been closed for nearly five months and is so happy to open its doors with an exhibition featuring tutors' work. The walls are full of all disciplines of art, painted by the tutors and convenors of The Redcliffe Art Society [R.A.S] classes. From the soft evocative watercolours from Valerie Pettengill and Vicki Kerkow to bold abstracts of Trudy Brooks, viewers will be uplifted or calmed, and definitely satisfied with the high quality of work. Jamie Congdon has displayed both sculptures as well bold painterly stories of urban life. Donna Hawkins has painted her interiors with a Margaret Olley attention to detail. Deb Darke has both Life Drawings as well as colourful beach scenes. Tania Geyer has a variety of styles including multimedia, still life, modern portraiture and botanical art. Robert Burgess is a master of abstract art work while Thea Hobson has produced bold colourful landscapes. Robert Taberner has created thematic atmospheric landscapes. Plus more art from great artists.
