Tribute shows and high-profile comedians are among the highlights of the second round of 2017 Adelaide Fringe shows being released for early ticket sales at noon today.
With about 90 shows on sale, the early taste of the 2017 program promises a stellar line-up of comedy, cabaret, music, theatre and much more.
Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall said the second round of early releases would help build excitement for the full program launch next month.
"The Fringe just keeps growing and growing each year "“ the range of shows and venues signed up for 2017 is going to give us one of the best Fringe festivals we've ever seen in Adelaide," she said.
"There will be a wonderful assortment of performances, experiences and exhibitions, and I can't wait for people to see what we have in store for them. That's why it's always so much fun to give a sneak peek by announcing these early shows."
The latest round of shows includes the comedic talents of Alice Fraser, Tom Gleeson, former Triple J radio presenter Tom Ballard and the internationally renowned Jimeoin.
Among the extra cabaret offerings to go on sale today are Panti Bliss: High Heels in Low Places, The Neil Diamond Experience and David Bowie tribute show STARMAN.
In the music category, Ukulele Death Squad will seek to change our attitudes about the instrument amidst a "plague" of popularity, and Australian singer-songwriter Katie Noonan will team up with classical guitarist Karin Schaupp for Songs of the Latin Skies.
The full 2017 Adelaide Fringe program will be released on Friday, December 2, 2016.
The 2017 Adelaide Fringe will run from February 17 until March 19.
