The Talents of Darkness is a cabaret freakshow that has presented at Adelaide Fringe for the past two years featuring local Adelaide performers. Despite opening to a sold-out opening night last year The Talents of Darkness had trouble keeping up with the many shows at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe. With the fringe growing bigger exponentially each year it's easy for young local Adelaide performers compete with other shows. Adelaidians need to get out and support their local talents before it disappears.
This year the Talents of Darkness welcome two new local performers, Abyss and Phoenix! Abyss is an Adelaide fire fan spinning teacher at Dragon Mill School of Fire Art and recently returned from headlining the Dali Flow Fest in China. Phoenix is a multidiscipline fire spinner who performs with hoop, staff and poi and is also a member of the Adelaide Fire Spinning Group Fierra Flow.
They take the places of three past performers Justin Thyme - Adelaide's then only drag king, Blazin Baden - a multidiscipline fire spinner, and Tammi Mortem - a sultry fire fan performer. Baden will be performing in another local Adelaide show Red Head Cabaret and Justin joins Gorelesque.
"With so much competition Adelaidians need to get behind their local artists before they lose them to bigger budget shows in the Garden and Gluttony." - Bebe Tricx
