Unquiet Graves is a feature-length documentary film which works to investigate into the recent conflict in Ireland surrounding the British government's involvement with the sectarian killing of over 120 civilians in Counties Armagh and Tyrone. Members of the RUC and UDR (British Army regiment) were centrally involved in the cold murder spree. The film takes the audience on an insightful journey as connections are made between the British government and a group of killers known as the Glennane Gang. By detailing how they worked hand in hand, Unquiet Graves draws lines between clues and hints to uncover the hidden truth.
Using extensive research and testimonies, the film depicts in intricate detail how a deadly campaign was devised to terrorise the most vulnerable in society. In a strong drive for justice, the documentary seeks to expose the truth and break the long-held silence. Unquiet Graves finally brings the world to attention on the silenced tragedy in a timely and passionate screening on what really happened to the victims in 1970s Ireland.
Much like his other works reflecting the social, economic and political landscape of Ireland, renowned producer and director Sean Murray adds another profound piece to the cinematic world with his feature documentary Unquiet Graves.
