Kitty Calvert Assemblage Sculpture Exhibition at Red Gallery 14th April - 2nd May, 2021

Published by: Kitty Calvert | 6-Apr-2021

Born from the detritus of a multitude of memories, Kitty Calvert assemblage sculptures are created using vintage discovered treasure, evoking cherished memories of childhood and times past. In a world of mass consumption, we view the pieces of treasure used in each sculpture as memory carrying vessels, taking us to a time in the past where things were built to last. With the sculptures, we have given these unloved pieces of treasure a new life. Seeing the pieces recycled, reimagined and reborn in a way that brings new joy to a new audience and in a way that encourages the audience to voyage on their own magical journey of memory. Kitty Calvert presents their latest collection at Red Gallery in North Fitzroy April 14-May 2
